- Abstract
- As far as Architecture is concerned, university can no longer be approached from a mere morphological point of view. It is nowadays considered as a living being with its own metabolism. A body which is fuelled, or rather fed, by projects and actors which lead it from a rigid and sterile premises of knowledge towards a fertile and productive place able to adapt itself to changing situations. The Constantine 3 university pole (PUC3) is undergoing a process of permanent transformation that concerns its entire territory which cannot be overlooked; the urban project approach seems to be a relevant tool that allows a better reading and comprehension of this process in order to establish the link between places, people and functions. The urban project is no longer about drawing the university, but rather about transforming it. A serious reflection has been made about the relationship that the university can maintain with society and its actors, who have a key role in promoting an important territorial dynamic. The Urban Project approach will make it possible to draw up figures of the PUC3, and, thus reveal the role of these four components (university, project, actor, territory) in the transformation of the Constantine 3 university pole.
