ان اختفاء ومقتل جمال خاشقجى جذب إنتباه العالم بأسره منذ أكتوبر 2018 حتى وقتنا الراهن. فالكتّاب السعوديين يتبنون موقفاً متحيزاً لصالح المملكة العربية السعودية. وأصابع الاتهام تشير إلى تركيا وقطر وايران لأنهم يهاجمون السعودية. ويعتمد البحث الحالى على منهج هاليدى 2014 للتحليل الوظيفى القائم على ست عمليات وهم : المادية و المعنوية واللفظية و السلوكية والعلاقية والوجودية. وتتكون بيانات البحث من ثمانية مقالات لصحفيين شهيرين خلال الفترة من 11 اكتوبر 2018 إلى 1 نوفمبر 2018. وتوضح نتائج البحث ان الكتّاب السعوديين فى جريدة الاخبار العربية يتبنون موقفاً متحيزاً ضد قضية خاشقجى ويدافعون عن موقف السلطات السعودية.
Abstract
The disappearance and then the killing of Jamal Khashoggi caught the attention of the whole world since October 2018 up till the moment. Saudi writers are taking a more biased stance for the sake of Saudi Arabia. They point fingers of accusation to Turkey, Qatar and Iran. The present research adopts Halliday's 2014 systemic functional grammar framework which is based on linguistic analysis of six processes .i.e. material, mental, verbal, relational, behavioural and existential. The data of the research consists of eight articles written by famous Saudi journalists during the period from October 11, 2018 to November 1 , 2018 . The results of the research revealed that the writers of Arab News are biased against the case of Khashoggi and defend the stance of Saudi authority.
