تَلْعبُ البيئةُ دوراً مهماً في تطويرِ الإنسانِ لذلك قد يكون التغييرَ في البيئةِ َرُبَّمَا يؤدي إلى نوع من التغيير في بارامتراتِ المكوّنِ العظميِ لمفصلِ الورك. لذا تم دراسة54 مفصل وركي جثماني مع نسيجِه الناعمِ وفي موقعه الأصليِ مع أخذ أبعاد الحٌق أو الوقبة والرئيس الفخذي الذي حُصِل عليهما بمِقياسِ الورنيّةِ. و لوحظَ بِأَنَّ هذه الأبعادِ كَانتْ أعظم في الذكورِ عندما قَورنت بمثلها مِنْ الإناث لكن الإختلافَ لم يكن مهما بشكل إحصائي, بينما على الجانبِ الأيسرِ البارامترات المدروسة كَانتْ أعظم مِنْ أولئك على الجانب الأيمنِ في كلا الجنسين لكن لا أهميةَ إحصائيةَ في حين أن القطرالحقٌي أو الوقبي كَانَ أعظمَ مِنْ قطرِ الرئيسِ الفخذيِ في كلا الجنسين. سريرياً هذه المعرفةِ تَلْعبُ دوراً مهماً في فَهْم حدوثِ داء الفصال العظمي الأولي في العراقيين. إنّ الدراسةَ الحاليةَ قيمةِ بالنسبة إلى خبراء الطبّ العدلي ومقوﱢمي العظام وخبراء تعويض الأعضاء المفقودة حيث تَعطي تفهماً لأبعاد الحٌق أو الوقبة والرئيس الفخذي
Abstract
As the environment plays an important role in the development of human being it was-thought that the change in the environment As the environment plays an important role in the development of human being it was thought that the change in the environment might have led to some kind of change in the parameters of the bony component of the hip joint. Therefore, 54 cadaveric hip joints with soft tissue in situ were studied. Dimensions of acetabulum and femoral head were obtained with Vernier scale. It was observed that these dimensions were greater in males when compared with that of females but the difference was statistically insignificant. On the left side the parameters measured were greater than those of the right side in both the sexes but of no statistical significance. Acetabular diameter was greater than the diameter of femoral head in both the genders. Clinically, this knowledge plays an important role in understanding the occurrence of primary osteoarthrosis in Iraqis. The present study is of value to the forensic experts, orthopaedicians and prosthetists as it gives the dimensions of acetabulum and femoral head.
