تمتد الحضارة اليمنية إلى أبعد مكان في أعماق التاريخ في التقدم والرقي الحضاري فهي مهد العروبة،ومنها تكون النسيج الاجتماعي في كثير من الشعوب والقبائل التي هاجرت على إثر انهيار سد مأرب العظيم ولعل خير شاهد على تلك الحضارات التي بقيت آثارها شامخة على مرّ العصور كعرش بلقيس وسد مأرب و مدينة صنعاء كل ذلك دفع الشعراء للإبحار في فضاء التراث الحضاري كل حسب موهبته ومقدرته على محاكاة تلك الآثار.
والمتأمل في الشعر اليمني يجد أن الشعراء المعاصرين قد غاصوا في التراث البشري قديمه وحديثه وابتعثوا من أعماقه رموز الحضارة والأحداث والشخصيات لتكون وعاء رمزياً يحمل رؤاهم وأفكارهم وتطلعاتهم كما اتجهوا إلى الطبيعة الكونية واستلهموا من تلك العناصر أدوات رمزية في فضاء الدلالة الفسيح ليخلقوا لأنفسهم منها أحاسيسهم وانفعالاتهم ونظرتهم للعالم من حولهم بكل ما فيه من شحنات مؤثرة.
ويكشف هذا البحث عن ظاهرة الرموز الحضارية اليمنية في شعر عبد الله البردوني وما سجلته من حضور بارز في شعره فتجلت تلك الرموز وهي تشارك الشاعر عمق ما يحمله من مأساة أو تفتح له براقة أمل في المستقبل المنشود كما يكشف عن بعض جوانب الإبداع عند البردوني ومدى التوظيف الرمزي للحضارة اليمنية

Yemeni civilization goes deep in the history of civilization development; it’s Arabs cradle and from it formed the social fabric of many nations, tribes that migrated after the collapse of Great Ma'reb's Dam. The best witness for those civilizations whose runes resist for ages such as Balqis Throne, Ma'reb Dam, Sana'a City. All that has pushed poets to dive into the civilization heritage according to each one's talent and capacity to simulate those ruins
One meditating in the Yemeni Poetry, finds that contemporary poets have dived in the human heritage old/modern and came up with symbols of civilization; actions and characters were symbolic container for their visions, thoughts and aspiration. Through these elements, they've obtained, symbolic tools in the symbolism horizon to create their feelings, reactions and look at the surrounding world with its all effecting powers.
This research explores the Yemeni Civilization Symbols phenomena in Abdullah Al-Baradoni's poetry and their remarkable presence; they've been clearly shown when they share him the depth of tragedy or open a hope window in the hoped future. It reveals some innovation sides of Al-Baradoni and the extent of Yemeni Civilization symbolism.
