يعتبر الموقف الأوروبي من الاستيطان هو الموقف الأوضح من كل المواقف الدولية، لأن دول الاتحاد الأوروبي تدرك تماماً خطورة الاستيطان الإسرائيلي على جهود السلام في الشرق الأوسط، والتي تعتبر مخالف للقانون الدولي وكافة المواثيق والشرائع الدولية، وأيضاً لأن هذه الدول تعتبر المسؤولة من الناحية السياسية والتاريخية عن نكبة الشعب الفلسطيني وتهجيره من أرضه، لذلك تقف دول الاتحاد الأوروبي بشكل واضح ضد سياسة الاستيطان منذ اليوم الأول لإعلان إسرائيل إقامة مستوطنات في الأراضي العربية التي احتلتها عقب حرب 1967م.
Abstract
The European position on settlements is the clearest position of all international stances, because the European Union countries are fully aware of the danger of Israeli settlements to peace efforts in the Middle East, which are considered contrary to international law and all international conventions and laws, and also because these countries are considered to be responsible from a political and historical point of view. The catastrophe of the Palestinian people and their displacement from their land, therefore, the European Union countries have clearly stood against the settlement policy since the first day of Israel announcing the establishment of settlements in the Arab lands it occupied after the 1967 war.
