بعد انتهاء الحرب الباردة والقطبية الثنائية بانهيار (الاتحاد السوفيتي) وتفكك جمهورياته كل هذا فتح المجال امام بروز نظام دولي جديد حاولت الولايات المتحدة الامريكية ان تهيمن عليه، وذلك لأنها تحتل موقعاً مهماً في صراع الحرب الباردة، فحاولت ان تعزو لنفسها الانتصار في هذه الحرب، وان تنصب نفسها زعيمة للنظام العالمي لما بعد الحرب الباردة، بأعتبارها اللاعب الاقوى في الساحة الدولية بغياب المنافس (الاتحاد السوفيتي).وبذلك ظهرت عدة اطاريح فكرية، حاولت ان تحدد لنا طبيعة النظام الدولي، وان تثبت لنا قدرة الولايات المتحدةعلى زعامة النظام العالمي الجديد وقيادته.وابرز هذه الاطاريح الفكرية هي اطروحة العولمة، ونهاية التاريخ، واطروحة صِدام الحضارات.وسيتم تناولها تباعاً مركزين بالدرجة الاساس على اطروحة صِدام الحضارات، بأعتبارها الانموذج الابرز في تلك الاطاريح Keywords Intellectual visions in the world after the Cold War ---
