Abstract
bstract : The use of spectral indicators is of great importance for the detection of thermal variation, especially in regions that do not include climatic stations, including the study area and based on satellite images. This study is to reveal the spatial variation of temperature in the city of Baquba and analysis of monthly thermal variation resulting from differences in Geomorphic units, Landcover and urban land use, using 12 satellite images of the US satellite LandSat 8 covering all months of 2017 by applying quantitative indicators based on the spectral zones (4, 5 and 10) within the Arc Gis 10.3 environment. An (198) Maps were drawnfor the study area and just selected someforshow and analysis here, the results indicate the differences in the monthly rates of temperature between city parts in 2017, which entails a review of the planning of some land uses in particular recreational, residential, industrial and commercial
