يمثل هذا الكتاب رؤية بحثية ونقدية طَورتُ من خلالها مشروع أطروحتي للدكتوراه والتي دارت حول "العَلاقة ما بين الإرهاب الإلكتروني والأمن النفسي" أو بمعنى أوضح علاقة التعرض لقضايا الإرهاب الإلكتروني في الصُحف الإلكترونية والأمن النفسي لدى الشباب الجامعي" والتي خلصت في ضوئها لمجموعة من النتائج الهامة، ويمثل هذا الكتاب مزيجًا ما بين الرؤية النظرية التي ارتكز عليها البناء المعرفي للرسالة والإسهام النقدي الذي يمثله واقع الثورة الرقمية في العصر الحديث، وبين ثنايا الكتاب سنتعرف على مفهوم الإرهاب الجديد – الإلكتروني- وسنزيل اللبث حول مفهومه وما يتداخل معه من مفاهيم أخرى كالإرهاب المعلوماتي وحرب المعلومات والجهاد الإلكتروني، وغيرهم، وسنعرف أشكال الإرهاب الإلكتروني وخصائصه ومنصات الإعلام التكنولوجية للتنظيمات والكيانات الإرهابية الإلكترونية، وكيف يتم توظيف الإنترنت في التجنيد والإرهاب في العصر الحديث، والتأثيرات النفسية لهذا النوع من الإرهاب على أمن الأفراد والمجتمعات، كما يقدم الكتاب رؤية نقدية لطبيعة العَلاقة التي تحكم علم الإعلام والاتصال بعلم النفس في العصر الحالي والتحديات التي باتت تقع على كاهل وسائل الإعلام في ظل الحرب النفسية والميدانية الضروس التي تشنها التنظيمات الإرهابية الحديثة ضد الدول والمجتمعات المعاصرة، وخلال رحلتي في إعداد الكتاب تطرقت لتحقيق التآلف بين علومٍ أربع هي (علم الاتصال، وعلم النفس، والصحة النفسية، وأمن المعلومات)، ليخرج إلى القارئ هذا الجهد المتواضع، الذي اسأل الله أن يكون نافعًا لكل طالب علم أو باحثٍ عن معرفة.
