يتنزّل هذا العمل ضمن أهم ما يستقطبه مجال اللسانيات العرفانيّة من دراسة وتحليل. وإذْ تُعدّ الاستعارة من أهمّ مباحثه، فإنّنا سنحاول تقصّي أهمّ النّظريات العرفانيّة المعاصرة التّي أعادت النظر إلى طبيعة الاستعارة وإلى دورها العرفاني، وهي نظرية الاستعارة التصوّرية لـ: "جورج لايكوف" و"مارك جونسون". وعليه فإنّنا سنحاول وضع القارئ أمام الطرّوحات والافتراضات التي صنعت لبّ النظرية العرفانيّة للاستعارة. وسنركّز في عملنا على أهمّ التوسيعات التي أحدثها "سلطان كوفيتش" في النظرية التصوّرية للاستعارة، حيث تكمن إضافته في الاهتمام بالسياق لفهم الاستعارة وتأويلها، وهو ما أهملته نسبيّا النظرية الأصليّة.

This work falls within the most important study of cognitive linguistics. As metaphor is one of its most important investigations, we will try to uncover the most important contemporary cognitive theories that have reconsidered the nature of metaphor and its cognitive role, namely the conceptual metaphor theory of George Lakoff and Mark Johnson.
Therefore, we will try to put the reader in front of the propositions that have made the core of the cognitive theory of metaphor. In our work, we will focus on the most important expansions that Zoltán Kövecses has made in the conceptual theory of metaphor, where his addition lies in the attention to context to understand and interpret metaphor, which the original theory has relatively neglected.
