تمثل النفايات أحد الطاقات البديلة التي تعول عليها الجزائر لتحقيق الأمن الطاقوي والاستثمار في الطاقات المتجددة من خلال انتهاج فكرة اقتصاد دائري ومن خلال استراتيجية وطنية تكرس الاستغلال الأمثل للطاقات المتجددة خارج قطاع المحروقات، وفي المقابل تتعدى هذه الاستراتيجية بعد أمني أخر تمثل في حماية البيئة من التلوث والاختلال في النظام البيئي ومن تبعات هذه المخاطر والمحافظة على النظام العام والصحة العامة من جهة أخرى.

Waste represent one of the alternative energies that Algeria
relies on to achieve energy security and invest in renewable
energies through the adoption of the idea of a circular economy and
through a national strategy that devotes the optimal use of
renewable energies outside the hydrocarbon sector, and on the other
hand, this strategy goes beyond another security dimension, which
is the protection of the environment from pollution and imbalance
in the ecosystem and the consequences of these risks, and the
preservation of public order and public health on the other hand.
