يعمل الكتاب على إعادة بناء فكر محمّد عابد الجابري وذلك بتتبّع خطابه ممّا قبل البداية في مشروع نقد العقل العربي (أو ما سمّيناه التأسيس لقراءة التراث) وذلك بالكشف عن الدوافع المعرفيّة والإيديولوجيّة التي شرّعت للعودة إلى الماضي، وصولا إلى أطروحته الإيديولوجيّة القائمة على استعادة عصر التدوين واللحظة الرشديّة الخلدونيّة، مرورا بتلخيص مركّز لمنهجه ومواقفه التي عرضها في كتب مشروعه نقد العقل العربي. وقد خصّص الكتاب فصلا لنقد خطاب الجابري وبيان علاقاته بجملة المشاريع التي كتبت في نقد التراث. وتتمثّل غاية الكتاب في محاولة نقد إشكاليّة الأصالة والمعاصرة وبيان بعض نقائضها
Abstract
We have tried in this book to reconstruct Jabry's discourse on his project Critique of Arab Reason. We started by looking for the legitimacy to approach this kind of project, we found it in its way of seeing the Arab reality and its conception of the history and its opinions concerning the comtemporary Arab thought. in the second part of our work we gave a very detailed summary of his project, its stages, its strengths, and its weak points. the third part of our work consists in unveiling Jabry's ideological thesis, by rethinking his problems in a different way than that exposed in his books. the last part is to compare Jabry's thesis with that of Hassan Hanafy and Ali Harb and Mohammad Haj Hamad.
The book wants to rethink the problematic very dear to comtemporary Arab thought that is the problematic of al 'asala and al mo'asara (authenticity and modernity), we tried from Jabry thought to reveal its contradictions and its limits both methodologically and ideologically.
