تسعى الدراسة الى أهمية تفعيل دور العلاقات العامة (PR) في أمانة بغداد لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة في مدينة بغداد . كما تهدف الى توظيف العلاقات العامة في تعزيز جهود أمانة بغداد لتنفيذ خطة التنمية المستدامة كتقليل التلوث البيئي والمساهمة في الحد من اثار تغير المناخ ، و يعتمد الهدف على تأثير العلاقات العامة على التنمية المستدامة عن طريق التركيز على نحو خاص على البيئة الاجتماعية والثقافية ، وماهو دور العلاقات العامة في امانة بغداد في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة ؟ ، فضلاً عن ما هو دورها في انشطة الاعلام البلدي وهل تنظم حملت توعية بيئية ونشاطات وفعاليات تساهم في الحد من الاثار السلبية على البيئة ؟ ، وهل يشارك متخصصو العلاقات العامة (PR) في تنظيم فعالية تهدف الى حماية البيئة من طريق حملات التوعية مع المجتمع أم أنهم مطالبون فقط بالإبلاغ عن أفضل ممارسات امانة بغداد ؟. حيث ان العلاقات العامة تلعب دوراً كبيراً في تنظيم نشاطات وحملات توعية لحماية البيئة واستدامتها عن طريق الاستعمال الفعال لأدوات وستراتيجيات العلاقات العامة و خلق التعليم والوعي البيئي المطلوب الذي سيؤدي بدوره إلى تغيير في مواقف الناس ليصبحوا أصدقاء للبيئة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى اهمية العلاقات العامة في أمانة بغداد ودورها الكبير والفعال في احراز تقدم سريع وفعال في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في مدينة بغداد ، فضلاً عن دورها في ترسيخ مفاهيم التنمية المستدامة على نحو صحيح وتحسين حياة المجتمع بطرق اساسية . ومن اهم المقترحات التي وصلت اليها تفعيل دور العلاقات العامة والعاملين فيها على التنسيق والتواصل مع المنظمات المحلية والعربية والاجنبية والاستفادة من خبراتهم وتجاربهم في الحفاظ على البيئة ، فضلاً عن مواكبة اخر الابتكارات والاساليب الحديثة العالمية المتبعة لغرض استدامة البيئة والحفاظ عليها ، واهمية تفعيل المشاركة الجماهيرية لغرض توعية المواطنين وترسيخ مفاهيم التنمية المستدامة ، واشراكهم في تنفيذ خطط التنمية المستدامة التي تنظمها امانة بغداد .

The study seeks to activate the role of public relations (PR) in the Municipality of Baghdad to achieve sustainable development in the city of Baghdad . It also aims to employ public relations to enhance the efforts of the Baghdad Municipality to implement the sustainable development plan, such as reducing environmental pollution and contributing to reducing the effects of climate change. The objective depends on the impact of public relations on sustainable development by focusing in particular on the social and cultural environment. What is the role of public relations in the Municipality of Baghdad in achieving sustainable development? , In addition, what is its role in the activities of the municipal media, and does it organize environmental awareness campaigns, activities and events that contribute to reducing the negative effects on the environment? , Do public relations specialists (PR) participate in organizing an event aimed at protecting the environment through awareness campaigns with the community, or are they only required to report on the best practices of the Municipality of Baghdad? , As public relations play a major role in organizing awareness-raising activities and campaigns for the protection and sustainability of the environment through the effective use of public relations tools and strategies, creating the required environmental education and awareness, which in turn will lead to a change in people's attitudes to become environmentally friendly. The study found the importance of public relations in the Municipality of Baghdad and its great and effective role in making rapid and effective progress in achieving sustainable development in the city of Baghdad. As well as its role in properly consolidating the concepts of sustainable development and improving society's life in basic ways. Among the most important proposals that have been reached is activating the role of public relations and its workers in coordinating and communicating with local, Arab and foreign organizations and benefiting from their expertise and experience in preserving the environment. As well as keeping pace with the latest global innovations and methods used for the purpose of environmental sustainability and preservation, And the importance of activating public participation for the purpose of educating citizens, consolidating the concepts of sustainable development, and involving them in the implementation of sustainable development plans organized by the Municipality of Baghdad.
