Dr. Eman Sobh is an Egyptian pulmonologist and researcher. She is an assistant professor of Chest Diseases at Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and Taibah University, Saudi Arabia. She graduated from Al-Azhar University, Faculty of Medicine with excellence and a grade of honor and received a Master of Science degree (MSc.) and Medical Doctorate degrees (M.D., Ph.D.) from Al-Azhar University. She had supervised postgraduate projects. She is an editorial board member and reviewer for several international journals. Volunteering activities and public engagement in science and research are her areas of interest. She is a certified trainer for soft skills, scientific publishing, and project management. Training and capacity building in science and research is part of her day-to-day life (respiratory medicine, soft skills, researchers’ empowerment). She is also a volunteer mentor and provides training to students, interns, and faculty members at her institute and internationally. She participated in organizing several workshops and conferences, and patient engagement activities. Her research interests include respiratory diseases, smoking cessation, non-communicable diseases, higher education, and capacity building in science and research. Currently, she is the Director of Science and Communication for African Science Frontiers Initiatives (ASFI) and co-convener of the ASFI science seminar series.
