إن تكنولوجيا المعلومات في المكتبات الجامعية تعتبر ركيزة أساسية يعتمد عليها في الحصول على مختلف المعلومات بطريقة إلكترونية ، لذلك تلعب تنمية تكنولوجيا المعلومات دورا كبيرا في بيئة المكتبات المعاصرة، حيث شهدت السنوات الأخيرة تطورات علمية سريعة في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات مما جعل انتشارها وتطبيقاها أمراً مألوفاً وشائعاً في العديد من مجالات الحياة اليومية للإنسان ومن بينها مجال المكتبات الجامعية الليبية التي أصبحت اليوم مطالبة بالاستفادة القصوى من تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في وظائفها المتعددة التي تشمل الاطلاع على الكتب والدوريات والمجلات الالكترونية والفهرسة والتزويد وخدمات الإعارة وخدمات المراجع والاتصال الآلي المباشر ببنوك المعلومات العالمية وإعداد موقع فعال لها على شبكة الانترنت، ولقد هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة أهمية تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في تطوير المكتبات، والى تحديد أهم الصعوبات التي تواجه المكتبات الليبية عند تطبيقها لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات من وجهة نظر الأكاديميين بالتعليم المحاسبي، واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج التحليلي الوصفي لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى إنه هناك دور لأهمية تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في تطوير المكتبات الليبية من وجهة نظر الأكاديميين بالتعليم المحاسبي في الجامعات الليبية كما أنه توجد صعوبات في تطبيق تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات تعيق تطوير المكتبات الليبية من وجهة نظر الأكاديميين بالتعليم المحاسبي بالجامعات الليبية، ومن أهم ما أوصت به الدراسة: على الجهات المسئولة في الدولة العمل على إنشاء مركز وطني للمعلومات وذلك لمواجهة الصعوبات التنظيمية التي تعيق تطبيق تكنولوجيا المعلومات في المكتبات الليبية.

Information technology in university libraries is a reliable foundation for obtaining various information in an electronic manner. Therefore, the development of information technology plays a big role in the contemporary library environment, where recent years have witnessed rapid scientific developments in information and communication technology, which made its spread and application commonplace in Many areas of human daily life, including the field of Libyan university libraries, which are now required to make the most of information and communication technology in its various functions, which include access to books and role The study aimed to know the importance of information and communication technology in the development of libraries, and to identify the most important difficulties faced by the Libyan libraries when applying ICTs. The view of academics in accounting education, the study based on the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the objectives of the study, and the study concluded that there is a role for the importance of ICT in the development of libraries There are difficulties in the application of information and communication technologies that hinder the development of Libyan libraries from the point of view of academics in accounting education in Libyan universities, the most important recommendations of the study: The responsible authorities in the State to work to establish a national information center In order to face the organizational difficulties that impede the application of information technology in Libyan libraries.
