شهدت منطقة عراق العجم( إقليم الجبال), أو ما يعرف حاليا بدولة إيران, عناية بالطب, وأهله, وبخاصة في ظل سيطرة أمراء بني بوية علي هذا الاقليم, وما كان من عنايتهم بالثقافة الطبية, وطرق العلاج المختلفة.
وقد أدرك الأطباء خلال تلك الفترة أهمية العلاج بالأغذية, وأنه يقف جنبا إلي جنب من حيث ضرورته للشفاء, مع الأدوية العشبية, والمستحضرات الكيميائية؛ فكانت العديد من المؤلفات من كتب ورسائل صنفها أطباء هذا الإقليم, في هذا المجال الحيوي.
فهي مؤلفات مهمة في الإرث الحضاري الإسلامي؛ لأنها قدمت لنا مادة علمية تحمل في طياتها قيمة صحية تناسب طبائع وأمزجة الأجسام المختلفة.
Abstract
The region of Iraq Al-Ajam (the province of the mountains), or what is now known as the state of Iran, witnessed the care of medicine and the doctors, especially under reign of the princes of Bani Buyu over this region, and what was their interest in the medical culture, and the different methods of treatment. During that period, doctors realized the importance of food therapy, and that it stands side by side in terms of its necessity for healing, with herbal medicines and chemical preparations. Many books and treatises were written by the doctors of this region in this vital field. They have important books in the Islamic cultural heritage, because they provided us with scientific material that carries with it a health value that suits the natures and moods of different bodies.
