من المسلم به أن الوسائط الخاصة بتسجيل المعلومات اختلفت من عصر إلى عصر تبعا للتقنيات المتطورة وهذه التقنيات من شأنها أن تساعدنا على الاسترجاع السريع للمعلومات كالتخزين الآلي الذي يسمح بحفظ واسترجاع كميات ضخمة من الوثائق تصل احيانا إلى الملايين. باعتبار أن الأرشيف هو المادة الأولية للبحث العلمي وقد ظهرت أساليب أخرى للحفظ وتخزين المعلومات ابتدأ بالحواسيب بأجيالها المختلفة ومروراً بالأقراص المكتنزة ووصولا بالوسائل المتعددة والانترنت.
Abstract
It is recognized that the media for recording information varied from era to age depending on the advanced technologies and these technologies will help us to retrieve information quickly, such as automated storage, which allows the preservation and retrieval of huge amounts of documents sometimes amounting to millions. As the archive is the raw material for scientific research has emerged and other methods of conservation and storage of information began with the computers of different generations and through the tablets hacked and access to multiple means and the Internet.
