تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد دور وزارة التعليم في مواجهة التحديات التي يواجهها التعليم عن بعد باعتباره تعليماً طارئاً. كان المشاركون في الدراسة تسعة مسؤولين يعملون في وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي الفلسطينية. استخدمنا المقابلات لجمع البيانات وتحليل المحتوى الاستقرائي لتحليل هذه البيانات. تشير نتيجة الدراسة إلى أن الوزارة نفذت إجراءً يتعلق بالجوانب التعليمية المختلفة لمواجهة تحديات التعليم عن بعد. ويوصى بأن تعزز وزارات التعليم التعاون مع المجتمع المحلي ؛ حيث يكون هدف هذا التعاون ذا شقين: تشجيع دعم الآباء للتكامل التكنولوجي في التعليم وتشجيع دورهم في التأثير بشكل إيجابي على تصورات طلابهم تجاه استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في التعلم. يحتاج المعلمون إلى الانخراط أيضًا في تغيير تصور الطلاب نحو تصور أكثر إيجابية فيما يتعلق بتأثير تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات على التعلم.

Abstract: The present study aims to identify the role of a ministry of education in meeting the challenges faced due to distance education as emergency education. The study participants were nine officials working at the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education. We used interviews to collect data and inductive content analysis to analyze this data. The study result indicates that the ministry carried out an action related to the different educational aspects to meet the distance education challenges. It is recommended that ministries of education strengthen the collaboration with the local community; where the aim of this collaboration is two-fold: encouraging parents’ support of technology integration in education and encouraging their role in influencing positively their students’ perceptions towards the use of ICT in learning. Teachers need to engage too in the change of students’ perception towards a more positive one regarding the influence of ICT on learning.
